Food industry has special demands on the quality of gases. “Food grade gases” are defined as gases used as a processing aid and/or additive in order to ensure that standards are complied with. Our food grade gases conform with “food grade” regulations, e.g. the EC directive 96/77/EC on food additives within EU countries.
The gas properties and the interaction of gases with the food ingredients, e.g. solubility in the foodstuff, should be taken into account when choosing the gas or gas composition. We supply food grade CO2, N2, and O2 along with other gases authorized for foodstuffs as individual gases in cylinders under high pressure, liquids in insulated tanks for subsequent mixing at the packaging machine, and premixed.
