Individual Cylinder Control (ICC)

AGA was the first gas company to introduce electronic Individual Cylinder Control (ICC).

The electronic cylinder control offers you full overview of your cylinder business*, providing you with vital information about the exact quantity of gas cylinders, which type of gas they contain and their location within the company. You can also keep track of the cylinder and gas origin as well as expiration dates.

Through the unique AGA technology; each and every one of AGA’s two million gas cylinders is equipped with an electronic device that contains vital information, and identifies the cylinder like a fingerprint - all without the possibility of errors.



Meet the Gazmo family
The Gazmo Family from AGA is a big family of gas cylinders with two million members, who travel widely. Still, you always know where they are, and where they come from. They are your guarantee of cost efficiency, quality, safety and traceability.

   

Each and every one of AGA´s gas cylinders is unique. 

No more looking for lost gas cylinders

Gas cylinders are expensive and many of AGA’s customers have experienced cylinder losses. AGA has addressed the recurrent irritant of having to pay rent for cylinders that are lost or missing. When a cylinder returns to AGA for refilling, the electronically stored information reveals if the cylinder is reported missing or stolen. Thus the cylinder will always return to the registered customer.


Quality, safety and traceability
ICC is at the core of AGA’s safety and traceability systems. The filling, storage and distribution of the cylinder is mapped and followed. This means that the location and condition of each cylinder can be noted, and the cylinder history retrieved and checked. In other words, full traceability. For gases with higher quality demands, ICC takes note of the batch number and the shelf life for each cylinder.

Facts about AGA ICC
All gas containers, including cylinders, bundles and transport racks, are individually equipped with an electronic device which is scanned with a handheld computer, when the cylinder is filled and delivered to a depot or to a customer. Individual cylinder information is included with the delivery note. On return from the customer, the device is scanned again.


Distribution of gas cylinders

AGA’s cylinder park in Region Europe North, the Nordic and the Baltic countries, contains 2 million gas cylinders. The cylinders are filled on average three times a year, which means that 6 million cylinders are distributed to customers directly or through AGA’s depots during one year.

*All gas containers in Region Europe North are marked as individuals, either with a chip or with a bar code. The only exceptions are propane cylinders and small (< 10 litre) gas cylinders; these cylinders are bought and owned by AGA’s customers.
